Why Did I Decide to Start Running?

Hello fellow cyclists… We have been sharing so much throughout our cycling journey for a long time, haven’t we? I want to add a new branch to my sports life. I frequently see and admire how those who run also cycle, and those who cycle also run. For this reason, I have decided to start running bit by bit…! However, the story behind this begins at a completely different point. Let’s take a look at that starting point.

Hello from my childhood!

I remember those sweet days when I wanted to be a runner in the neighborhood; I even made little attempts on my own but could never keep them up. It was, of course, my fault that I couldn’t continue, but I never knew how I should have been guided. I even participated in an inter-school running race. And the result? Utter disappointment, of course… I ended my non-existent running career right there. It was a sport I always postponed, saying “maybe later,” which is why I believe it’s time to start somewhere.

To a man who will run on his own, what are your recommendations? If you are reading this and seeing this part… Please help me based on your experiences. I need your advice.

What do I need to run?

Shoes

Shorts

T-shirt

Water bottle

Supplements

Nutrition, etc…

When I think about it, I could go on and extend this list… A man like me can never start something, or doesn’t feel like he can, without being fully equipped… However, when I think about it, I came across a conversation on social media the other day where this question was asked:

What do you need to run?

The list above is actually just a list of excuses… I realized that from the answer given to that question. What do you think the answer was? The answer: ”I need two legs!” The universe is showing me exactly what I need. You know the “red car effect,” right? Whatever you focus on, that is what you encounter… Yes, during those wonderful days when I was focusing on running, right at the time when my list of excuses was active, it brought me a wonderful question and a magnificent answer…

The excuses are over… Let the movement begin…

Now, a new one has been added to our blog topics… If it continues—and I believe it will—I will try to share information about running, alongside cycling, and my progress in my blog and YouTube videos.

Yes, my friends…
I am putting the list of excuses on the shelf and taking action…

I wish everyone happy and enjoyable sports.
